Basic concept of money and credit: Definition, origin, importance, functions and characteristics of money and credit. Money creation capacity of commercial banks. Different types of money. Quantity theory of money. This course is designed to introduce candidates to fundamental principles of e-commerce, e-marketing, and e-business. Relating the principles to the Nigerian economy, the candidates are expected to have a good grasp of how internet can be used to sales, communication cost reduction, and a brand building tool. The candidates also should be able to explain basic internet technology as well as practical application of internet and e-commerce to Nigerian economy.

Students are expected to write a research proposal in the light of identified problem(s) in the agribusiness sector. The  research proposal is expected to cover the introduction, statement of problem, research objective, research question, hypothesis (if any), significance of the study, literature review, methodology- which should include the statistical and econometric tools of analysis. Research proposal will be presented by the student individually (or in groups) using appropriate communication and presentation aids. Hard copy of the research will be produced by the student.
