Welcome Message

On behalf of the management, staffs and students, it is my honor and privilege to welcome you to the homepage of the Department of Animal Breeding and Physiology, College of Animal science and Animal Production. It is our determination to advance Animal Production through improved animal breeding techniques, animal genetics, animal biotechnology, animal physiology and artificial insemination.

Philosophy and Objective

The philosophy of B. Agric. (Animal Science and Animal Production) programme is to train and equip students with good knowledge of the science and practice of animal agriculture to help boost animal production in the country.

The objective is to produce Animal Scientists and educated farmers who will be self–employed, employer of labour, educators of our peasant farmers and who could work as consultants at both National and International levels in issues concerning animal production.
